Shipping Policy

Last updated: May 2025

This Shipping Policy explains how orders are handled and shipped on Your Market Online Community.

Shipping Method

Vendors have full control over the shipping of their products.

Your Market has setup two shipping zones for the vendors to use when setting their shipping methods and pricing. These are Main Centres and Regional Areas.

  1. Main Centres include:
    • Cape Town
    • Johannesburg
    • Gqeberga
    • East London
    • Durban
    • Bloemfontein
    • George
  2. Regional Areas include the rest of the postal codes in South Africa. See all postal codes used per shipping zone.

Vendor / Seller’s Role

Vendors are responsible for:

  • Setting up their shipping methods in the sellers dashboard.
  • When an order is received and accepted, the seller must contact their shipping provider / courier and initiate collection and delivery of the item.
    • Check out Bob Go as a courier aggregator. You do not have to use Bob Go, this is our suggestion only.
  • Packing and preparing items securely.
  • Sending the package within the specified timeframe of the order confirmation. The Seller must supply Shipping Policies of their shop. This is a prerequisite of their shop being approved.

Delivery Notifications

Once a buyer receives their item, the courier notifies the seller. The seller must then:

  • Mark the order as completed in their Vendor Dashboard
  • This triggers the release of payment from TradeSafe.

Delivery Fees

  • Shipping costs are included at checkout.
  • Shipping costs are set by the seller n the vendor dashboard
  • Buyers pay for delivery, unless the seller offers free shipping.

Lost or Damaged Items

  • Vendors should package items carefully to avoid damage.
  • If a parcel is lost or arrives damaged, the vendor and buyer must work together to find a solution. The Seller must set up a Refunds Policy on their shop, this policy is a prerequisite for approval of their shop.
  • Your Market Online Community can assist if needed but is not responsible for lost/damaged deliveries.

Returns

  • Return policies may vary per seller.
  • Buyers should contact the seller directly to arrange returns or refunds.
  • Vendors are encouraged to clearly state their return policy in each product listing.
