Refund & Return Policy

At Your Market Online Community, we want buyers and sellers to feel confident with every order. Here’s how returns and refunds work on our platform:

General Policy

Because all items sold on Your Market are homemade or handcrafted, returns are handled on a case-by-case basis between the buyer and the seller.

Your Market does not process returns directly, but we’re always here to help if needed.

If a refund is applicable, the refund will only be released once the vendor has received the items and the items are in the same condition that you received them in.

NB – Refunds / Returns are not applicable on Fresh Food or Vegetables.

Buyers – How to Request a Return or Refund

If you receive an item that is:

  • Damaged
  • Incorrect
  • Not as described

Please contact the seller within 24 hours of receiving the order. This can be done through the following options:

  • Direct method (call or email) if the details are available/received by the buyer through contact by the vendor.
  • Log an issue using the link in the final email sent from TradeSafe by clicking the link “submit issue”

Sellers – Handling Returns

Sellers are expected to:

  • Respond to return/refund requests within 2 business days
  • Offer fair solutions (refunds, replacements, etc.)
  • Clearly state any “no return” policies in their product descriptions if this is their official policy.

Return Shipping

  • Buyers are usually responsible for return shipping costs, unless the item was damaged or incorrect.
  • If an item gets returned, both parties must cover one of the shipping costs – the Vendor pays for initial shipping to the Buyer and the Buyer pays for the return shipping to the Vendor.

Disputes

If you’re having trouble resolving a return or refund, contact us at support@yourmarket.co.za and we’ll step in to mediate where possible.

Important Notes

  • All TradeSafe fees incurred will NOT be refunded
  • Refunds can only be processed once the seller receives the returned item (if required).
  • TradeSafe will only release funds once both sides agree the transaction is complete.
